Degradation of pretreated agroforestry residues by selected micromycetes

چکیده

Nowadays, there are huge amounts of lignocellulosic materials left in agroforestry practice, which can be transformed into useful products. Biomass exploitation could aiming not only at replacing conventional energy sources but also preserving biodiversity and natural ecosystems. Five micromycetes were studied with goal to determine their potential produce active cellulases as well the ability decompose pretreated wheat straw oak sawdust after seven days solid-state fermentation. Wheat was better substrate than for production all five micromycetes. Thus, Penicillium solitum BEOFB 1190m has shown best producer highly forms xylanases (7532.36 ? 89.37 U/L). The most endo- exocellulases (2299.70 72.17 U/L 195.66 4.64 U/L, respectively) produced by Trichoderma harzianum 1230m, while maximal value ?-glucosidase activity (215.69 3.13 U/L) detected Fusarium graminearum 820m cultivation. T. showed high efficiency cellulose hemicellulose depolymerization (23.90% 33.00%, respectively), resulted highest dry matter loss (36.25%). results study great tested synthesize cellulolytic enzymes consequently transform abundant, low-cost plant residues such products including biofuel.

Agroforestry Adoption By Smallholders

Agroforestry is a joint forest production system whereby land, labor, and capital inputs are combined to produce trees and agricultural crops (and/or livestock) on the same unit of land. Although existing for centuries (maybe millennia) as an array of traditional land use practices in the tropics, agroforestry emerged in the late 1970s as a modern, improved tropical land use system suitable for...

Continuous countercurrent extraction of hemicellulose from pretreated wood residues.

Two-stage dilute acid pretreatment followed by enzymatic cellulose hydrolysis is an effective method for obtaining high sugar yields from wood residues such as softwood forest thinnings. In the first-stage hydrolysis step, most of the hemicellulose is solubilized using relatively mild conditions. The soluble hemicellulosic sugars are recovered from the hydrolysate slurry by washing with water. ...

Accumulation of radionuclides from radioactive substrata by some micromycetes.

Overgrowing (interaction) and dissolution of intact and milled hot particles by various micromycetes were studied under laboratory conditions. Hot particles used for the investigation originated from the Chernobyl accident release and atomic bomb testing sites. The micromycetes investigated were mitosporic fungi mainly isolated from the Chernobyl site and vicinity. Most of the fungal species an...

Microbial Degradation of Post-harvest Residues

MANAGEMENT of post-harvest residues, produced during the green-cane harvesting of sugarcane in Louisiana, has become an increasingly important issue for producers, particularly in areas where burning of the residues is banned or restricted. If the residues, which range from 4–8 tonnes per hectare, are not removed prior to the emergence of the subsequent ratoon crop in the spring, yields may be ...
